About Me

My name is Karl Angell i’m 21, i have grown up on the coast all my life surfing with my mates every chance i could. I first picked up a camera about 6 years ago while on a family trip up north, were i fell in love with taking photos. My first camera was nothing special just your normal everyday point and shoot camera, but as i progressed and saved my money i slowly upgraded to a Digital SLR. I love getting up early and capturing the different light each Sunrise makes as well as the sunsets around winter time.

My aim with Angell Surf Photography is to get out every morning and shoot different breaks along the coast, giving local surfers a chance to see a photo of themselves surfing. So keep yours eyes out around the coast, you might see me out in the water shooting or on land trying to capture the locals ripping it up so they can catch a glimpse of them self’s on my site.

Keep up to date on where ill be shooting for the week>> FACEBOOK

At the age of 17 i moved to Morton Island to work as a resort photographer for 2 years were i experienced a range of different styles of photography from, Weddings, Portraits, Extreme sports, Diving and Marine Research Photography. I then moved back home to work for Australia Zoo as a Photographer on board Steves Whale One were i was out on the water everyday capturing these massive 30 ton humpbacks jumping out of the water and playing next to the boat.
